TUWUH daybed

the TUWUH daybed is inspired by the popular javanese ‘ukel’ motive. its typical spirals and loops derive from the visualization of an unfurling ‘pakis’ leaf and can often be found in wood carvings and gate architecture.

architect and designer MUHAMMAD SAGITHA incorporated the motive into the armrest of the daybed, which also features clean geometrical shapes and a unique stance, upon six legs.
